Lake Placid has been a hub of figure skating activity for more than a century. Not only can you skate in Lake Placid indoors or outdoors, you can also see the Stars on Ice show that has been performing at the 1980 Olympic Ice Arena for more than a decade. Depending on when you visit, you may also be able to watch Olympic skaters practice on the ice at the world-famous Lake Placid Olympic Center.
There are three ice surfaces at the Olympic Center, including the 1932 Rink, the 1980 Arena, and the USA Rink.
